Richard S. “Steve” McDonald, Jr. is a psychotherapist with over 11 years of experience helping others to get well. Licensed as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Tennessee, he has worked extensively in both inpatient and outpatient mental health settings in Tennessee as well as Georgia. He is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and offers this as well as other methods depending on the needs of each person he sees. He wants to work from each client’s strengths to help them choose the direction they want and get them there when they’re ready for it.
A native of Chattanooga, he moved back home to begin his career after graduating from Kennesaw State University in 2007. He is married with three children. He enjoys time with his family, reading, games and the Atlanta Falcons.
